Susquehannock High School Girl’s Softball Team  - Susquehannock High School Girl’s Softball Team-The Warriors, coached by Dave Pollick (head coach), Stephanie McGlynn, Donald Mercadante, Tim Scripka and Tony Sorice, won the 2007 PIAA Class AAA State Championship.

Megan Sheaf, Susquehannock High School-The sophomore pitcher was named 2007 PIAA Class AAA Softball Player of the Year, and was also named to the All-State team.

Erin Clary, Susquehannock High School-The junior was named to the 2007 PIAA Class AAA softball All-State Team.

Chelsie DiPaola, Susquehannock High School-The senior was named to the 2007 PIAA Class AAA softball All-State Team.

Kelly Christ, Susquehannock High School-The senior was named to the 2007 PIAA Class AAA softball All-State Team.

Ashley Winterson, Susquehannock High School-The junior was named to the 2007 PIAA Class AAA softball All-State Team.

Kelsy Kress, Bloomsburg University (Littlestown)-Kress and her Huskie teammates won their second straight NCAA Division II Field Hockey championship

Chad McGowan, York College of Pennsylvania (Dallastown)-The junior became the first Spartan basketball player to be named a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III First-Team All-American. He was also named Middle Atlantic Player-of-the-Year by the NABC and Capital Athletic Conference Player-of-the-year.

Cory Beaver, Littlestown Senior High School-As a junior, won the PIAA Class AA 171-pound Championship, becoming his school’s first Wrestling State Champion.

Chris Albright, Red Lion Area Senior High School-Won the 112-pound title at the National High School Coaches Association National Wrestling Championship Tournament in Virginia Beach, becoming an All-American in the process.

Rob Estep, West York Area High School-As a senior, was named to the 2007 Associated Press AAA All-State Basketball third team.

Kyle Flickinger, York College of Pennsylvania (Bermudian Springs)-The Spartan wrestler placed 6th in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, becoming an All-American in the process.

Brie Dohm, Eastern York Senior High School-As a senior, was named to the Associated Press AAA All-State Basketball third team.

Autumn Lau, Northeastern Senior High School-As a sophomore, was named to the Associated Press AAA All-State Basketball third team.

Amanda McKim, Spring Grove Senior High School-As a senior, was named to the Associated Press AAAA All-State Basketball third team.

Cookie McIntyre, West York Area High School-As a senior, captured the gold medal in the Class AA 100-yard butterfly at the 2007 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Skyler Yost, Dallastown Area High School-The 2006 graduate won the 2007 Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Championship at Elk Mountain.

Zach Dohm, Eastern York Senior High School-As a junior, cleared 6’7” and won the Class AA high jump at the 2007 PIAA Track and Field Championships.

Alexis Lindo, Dallastown Area High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State Team. In addition, she was named YAIAA Division I Player of the Year, and has advanced past the first two levels of the Olympic Development Program.

Emily Reimold, Susquehannock High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State Team.

Kelsey Doutrich, Bermudian Springs High School-As a sophomore, was named to the 2007 Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State Team. In addition, she was named YAIAA Division II Player of the Year.

Alex Dubbs, Red Land High School-As a senior, was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team.

Levi Kauffman, Red Lion Area Senior High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team.

Greg Kareis, Red Lion Area Senior High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 Cross Country All-State 1st Team.

Nate Leister, Dallastown Area High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team.

Ryan Wolf, Central York High School-As a junior, was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team.

Kevin Marsteller, York Suburban Senior High School-As a sophomore, won the gold medal in the 100 backstroke at the 2007 PIAA Class AA Swimming Championships. He was also a member of the gold medal 400 freestyle relay team, was named an All-American swimmer and was selected to the All-State First Team.

Harry Foster, York Suburban Senior High School-In addition to being a member of the gold medal winning 400 freestyle relay at the 2007 PIAA Class AA Swimming Championships, he was also named an All-American swimmer and a member of the All-State First Team.

Ben Appleby, York Suburban Senior High School-In addition to being a member of the gold medal winning 400 freestyle relay at the 2007 PIAA Class AA Swimming Championships, he was also named an All-American swimmer and a member of the All-State First Team.

Erik Harris, New Oxford Senior High School-The senior long jumper was selected to the 2007 Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association All-State Team, after placing second in the long jump at the state championships. He also placed first in the District 3 meet.

Jon Ports, York College of Pennsylvania-The sophomore forward/midfielder was named to the 2007 NSCA and d3kicks.com Div. III Soccer All-American First Teams. He was also named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year. His 16 assists was a new Spartan single season record.

Evan Scheffey, York College of Pennsylvania-The junior defender was named to the 2007 d3kicks.com Div. III Soccer All-American Second Team.

Blake Campbell, West York Area High School-The junior defensive lineman was named to the 2007 AP Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State Football First Team.

Mike Davies, Northern Senior High School-The senior running back was named to the 2007 AP Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State Football Second Team.

Chad Christen, Red Land Area Senior High School-The junior placekicker was named to the 2007 AP Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State Football Second Team.

Wayne Tribue, Central York High School-The senior offensive lineman was named to the 2007 AP Pennsylvania Class AAAA All-State Football Second Team.

Jordie Beland, Susquehannock High School-The senior was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team.

Mike Kale, Delone Catholic High School-The senior was named as a Defensive Specialist on the 2007 AP Class AA All-State Football First Team. He was also YAIAA Div. III Player of the Year.

Miles Moore, Delone Catholic High School-The senior was named as a Defensive Lineman on the 2007 AP Class AA All-State Football Second Team.

 
2008 SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD RECIPIENTS

Nate Reider, Shippensburg University (Dallastown)-The senior won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Javelin Championship with a toss of 211 ft, 1 inch, and the Hammer Throw with a toss of 168 ft, 6 inches, and was named the PSAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Year. He followed that up with a season best throw of 217 ft, 2 in at the NCAA Division II National Championships, winning the gold medal and achieving All-American status for the second straight year. He was featured on the cover of the National Strength and Conditioning Association Journal, Volume 29, Number 5. He will soon be attending tryouts for the U.S. Olympic Team.

Nikki Lobach, Messiah College (Southwestern)-She became the first basketball All-American in Messiah College history, after being named to the 2007 Kodak/WBCA All-American First-Team and the D3Hoops.com fourth-team. She was named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year on a team that was ranked No. 4 nationally.

Timothy Bohlman, York College of Pennsylvania-The Spartan senior placed 7th in the 149-pound class at the 2007 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships, earning All-American honors for the second consecutive year. He became the second Spartan to earn All-American honors twice.

Nate Ocasio, Juniata College (Northeastern)-The senior outside hitter overcame a life-threatening illness and was named an NCAA Division III First-Team Volleyball All-American, for the second time in his collegiate career.

Jacob Iati, York Catholic High School-As a junior, was named to the Associated Press Class AA All-State Basketball First-Team. He also received All-State honors as a freshman.

York Catholic High School Girls Basketball Team-The team won the 2007 PIAA Class AA State Title for the second straight year by defeating Villa Maria Academy 58-44.

Megan Stewart, York Catholic High School-The senior was named to the 2007 Associated Press Class AA All-State Basketball First-Team. She was a Second-Team selection in 2006.

Amanda Weaver, York Catholic High School-The senior was named to the 2007 Associated Press Class AA All-State Basketball First-Team. She was a Second-Team selection in 2006.

Zach Phillips, Susquehannock Hich School-The senior won the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle at the 2007 PIAA Class AA Swimming and Diving Championships. He won the same events in 2006.

York Suburban Senior High School Boys Swimming Team-The team won their second consecutive Class AA Title at the 2007 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

York Suburban Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team-The team, consisting of Ben Appleby, Chris Manning, Harry Foster and Kevin Marsteller, won their second consecutive Class AA Title at the 2007 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Kelly Downs, Elizabethtown College (Red Lion)-The senior was named the 2007 ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-American of the Year in volleyball, with a 4.0 Cumulative GPA. She was also named an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year. She finished the season with a school-record 511 kills, and finished her career as Elizabethtown’s all-time leader with 1,532 kills and 585 blocks.

Jesse Derksen, Susquehannock High School-The senior goalkeeper was named to the 2007 PSCA All-State Soccer Team for the second time. He was also named a 2007 East Regional Pennsylvania Male All-American.

Aubrey Moore, Red Land High School-The senior defensive lineman was named to the 2007 AP Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State Football Second Team. He was also named to the team last year.

Julie Boblits, Susquehannock High School-The senior was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AAA All-State Volleyball Team for the second consecutive year.

Kelly Rhein, York Catholic High School-The senior was named to the 2007 PVCA Class AA All-State Volleyball Team for the third consecutive year.
